# Privacy Policy — Merge GridLast updated: 28 July 2026## The short versionMerge Grid has no account, no server of ours, and no analytics. We never
receive any information about you.
The app does show advertising, which is served by Google AdMob. Ads are the one
part of the app that talks to a company other than Apple, and Google receives
some technical information from your device in order to serve them. That is
described in full below.
We ask Google for non-personalized ads only. Merge Grid does not ask for
permission to track you, and does not track you across other apps or websites.
## What the app stores on your deviceMerge Grid saves the following to your device only:- Your high score, statistics, and unlocked achievements
- Your Daily Challenge streak
- Your selected theme, and your sound and haptics preferences
- The game currently in progress, so you can close the app and come back to it
- How recently an ad was shown, so the game can keep ads infrequent
This data is written to your device's local app storage. It is never uploaded,
never sent to us, and never shared with anyone. We cannot see it.
Deleting the app removes all of it permanently. There is no backup and no way
to recover it — including by us.
## AdvertisingMerge Grid is free and is paid for by advertising, served by Google AdMob.Where ads appear. Ads appear only between rounds — never while a board is
in play, and never over the game. There are two kinds:
- A rewarded ad, which you may choose to watch to continue a run you have
just lost. It is entirely optional, and nothing in the game is worse if you
decline. Declining never starts an ad.
- An interstitial ad, shown occasionally after a round has finished.
The game also gives every player ad-free rounds — one on each fresh launch, and
two more every thirty minutes of play — and never shows an interstitial after a
round that offered you the optional ad, whether you watched it or declined.
What Google receives. To serve, cap, measure, and protect ads against
fraud, Google's SDK collects technical information from your device. This
generally includes your IP address (which implies an approximate location such
as a city or region), device model and operating system version, coarse
information about how you interacted with the ad, and identifiers that let
Google limit how many times you see the same ad. This information goes directly
from your device to Google. It does not pass through any server we control,
and we never see it.
Google's handling of that information is governed by:- Google Privacy Policy
- How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services
Non-personalized only. Merge Grid requests non-personalized ads. That means
ads are chosen based on general context rather than a profile of your past
behaviour. Google still collects the technical information above for frequency
capping, reporting, and fraud prevention, as its own policies describe.
No tracking permission. Merge Grid does not display Apple's "Allow app
to track" prompt and does not request access to your device's advertising
identifier (IDFA) for tracking. Ad measurement uses Apple's SKAdNetwork, which
is designed by Apple to attribute ad installs without identifying you.
Consent in the EEA, UK and Switzerland. Where the law requires it, Google's
User Messaging Platform will show you a consent form before ads are
personalized or certain data is used. Your choice is recorded by Google's SDK
on your device. If that form cannot load, the app continues with
non-personalized ads.
If ads fail. If ads cannot load for any reason, the game plays normally.
Advertising is never a condition of playing.
## Game CenterIf you are signed in to Game Center, Merge Grid submits your final score to
Apple's leaderboards so you can be ranked against other players:
- Your endless-mode score goes to the "Global High Score" leaderboard
- Your Daily Challenge score goes to the "Daily Challenge" leaderboard
That submission goes directly from your device to Apple. We never see it, and
it never passes through any server we control.
Your Game Center nickname and
ranking are handled entirely by Apple under
Apple's Privacy Policy, not by us.
Merge Grid reads your Game Center display name only to show it in the app. It
is never stored anywhere except in memory while the app is running.
If you are not signed in to Game Center, or you have it restricted, nothing is
submitted and the game works exactly the same. Scores you earn offline are
queued on your device and submitted the next time Game Center is reachable; you
can clear that queue by deleting the app.
## Software updatesThe app can check Expo's update service for a new version of its own
JavaScript. That request carries only what is needed to identify which build of
the app is asking — no personal information, and no identifier we use to
recognise you.
## What the app does not do- No analytics or telemetry, and no analytics SDK of any kind
- No attribution SDK, and no third-party tracking SDK
- No crash reporting
- No App Tracking Transparency prompt, and no tracking across apps or websites
- No location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos, or health data
- No Merge Grid account, sign-in, or email address
- No developer-controlled server, anywhere in the app
- No selling or sharing of personal information by us — we hold none
## Your choices- Limit ad tracking. iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, and
Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising, control what advertising
identifiers apps can use. Merge Grid does not request tracking permission at
all, so it is already limited by default.
- Reset consent (EEA/UK/CH). Deleting and reinstalling the app clears the
stored consent choice and shows the form again.
- Remove everything. Deleting the app deletes all locally stored data.
## ChildrenMerge Grid is rated 4+. We collect no data from anyone, including children.
Ads are requested as non-personalized, which is the setting intended for
audiences that must not be profiled. Game Center participation is controlled by
Apple's own account and Screen Time settings, not by us — if Game Center is
restricted on the device, the game simply plays without leaderboards.
## ChangesIf a future version of Merge Grid changes what is collected, this policy will
be updated before that version ships, and the App Store privacy labels will be
updated to match.

Merge Grid

# Merge GridA premium-feeling casual merge puzzle for iOS, built with Expo (React Native),
Reanimated, and a pure-TypeScript game engine.
Visual direction: Ember — backlit enamel game pieces resting in a carved
stone tray.
Place a numbered tile on a 6×6 grid. Tiles of equal value that touch collapse
into the cell you chose and double. Cascades chain, streaks multiply, and the
board slowly tightens until you run out of room.
